CARE REFORM INITIATIVE
Created by OAfrica with the government of Ghana and UNICEF in 2006, it is a multi-sectorial plan to enhance the capacity of the Department of Social Welfare in Ghana to offer better care options to orphans and
other vulnerable children, with an emphasis on de-institutionalization

SPECIAL NEEDS
Those with special needs are most at risk of abandonment, either in orphanages or on the streets. They require specialized care and
often need permanent homes.

YOUNG ADULT SUPPORT SERVICES
We empower young adults to realize their full potential with financial support and career counseling.

FOSTER FAMILY CARE
For children who cannot live with their biological family (due to death or illness of parents, or unavailability of extended family),foster care is the best alternative.

Our accounts in Ghana are audited annually by PricewaterhouseCoopers.
